Mary有不孕症而且不符合领养规定所以她和保罗一直都没有孩子，后来一个吸毒的朋友把刚出生几个月的孩子卖给了她，然后他们就搬到了紫藤巷生活，但是孩子的亲生母亲还是找到了他们，但Mary拒绝交出孩子，并失手杀死了孩子的亲生母亲。十几年后，邻居玛莎·胡伯发现了这个秘密，并且勒索Mary。Mary为了隐藏这个秘密就自杀了。

因为当年是她们夫妻杀了前来找自己的孩子扎克的麦克的前妻

之前说是因为被人发现了她的儿子是偷的。

但是我觉得这其实也是这个剧一直保持的一个悬念

剧集一开始，主妇mary alice就绝望地自杀了，她自杀绝不是因为婚姻不幸、或者是想逃避家务劳动，而是想结束被邻居huber夫人勒索的生活。被勒索，是因为她犯下了致命的错误。于是在以后的剧集中，她总以画外音的形式出来做几句总结。例如：每个家庭都有秘密，每个人都是生活中的罪人。 mary alice还说过：孩子是上帝的礼物，可有时候，我们想把这个礼物给退回去。主妇lynette居家前是广告界的女强人，她很爱她的孩子——一对6岁的双胞胎儿子、中间是5岁的儿子，最小的是襁褓里女儿。lynette不主张对孩子“动手”。可她苦口婆心的劝说和没有力度的威胁，根本拿小恶魔们没辙，他们在厨房里打棒球、拿锅碗瓢盆做打击乐器、去参加邻居家的葬礼，居然在逝者家的游泳池里游泳嬉闹、还去偷邻居的东西作为礼物送给妈妈……

2、绝望的主妇为什么自杀

人在绝望的时候，看不到一点光明，所以自杀。在旁人看来，自杀的人存在心里障碍，如果把逆境看作是一种磨练，是一种意志的考验，那么，自杀就不存在了。我的答复希望你满意。

因为绝望

因为她把悲伤放大了几千倍，如果身体缺失的绝望就想想霍金，如果感情的绝望就去找点事情做，你太把感情到回事注定会被感情玩，没有什么让我们看到希望跟幸福！

因为长期沟通的问题，受不了了。

我也在等待，片中这种家庭的状态，我身边有很多，我特别想听听，杨凤池老师是如何来总结和评价男主人和女主人的，女主人的这种状态，丈夫的做法和态度是起因，但是她自己也有问题。我觉得女主人的问题在于，她对丈夫有所要求，却又达不到预期的满意程度，于是又不断的为丈夫付出，以期望丈夫能有所回馈，结果是更大的失望，于是有了后来的这些状态，我觉得是内心不够独立导致的。很想听听杨老师的点评。

4、关于绝望的主妇carlos性格的问题~

Carlos 能忍这个其实主要是指他对于GABY出轨这件事情上,忍了gaby, 只能说明他很爱Gaby,但不能说明他本身很能忍。其实Carlos是个很大男人的人,挺有脾气的~对于其他的人,也有很凶的时候。第六季里,他和Lynnette的那段争执都“斗争”就看得出他脾气大着呢~

此外,他为人很大方,什么都给Gaby买,只有经济支持。然后,对孩子很有爱,很有耐心。对朋友也挺哥们儿的,对工作更是雷厉风行。
